2021 Ranking of Brazil Universities

What are Brazil’s most famous universities? Topuniversitieslist has published the 2021 Brazilian University Ranking, which includes 201 Brazilian higher-education institutions that fulfill the Topuniversitieslist quality criteria:

being chartered, registered, or certified by the relevant Brazilian higher education-related institution, and providing at least four-year undergraduate degrees (bachelor degrees) or postgraduate degrees (master or doctoral degrees) in a conventional, face-to-face, non-distance education style.

2021 Sub-rankings by provinces and territories

The Brazilian Federative Republic is split into 26 states (Estados in Portuguese) and one federal region (Portuguese: distrito federal). The states of Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, and Rio Grande do Sul are home to the vast majority of higher education institutions that follow the Topuniversitieslist selection criterion. Both states with at least two Brazilian higher education institutions that fulfill the Topuniversitieslist selection criterion are included in the following Topuniversitieslist league tables or sub-rankings.
