What are Canada’s most famous universities? Topuniversitieslist has published the 2021 Canadian University Ranking, which includes 101 Canadian higher-education institutions that fulfill the Topuniversitieslist selection criteria:
being chartered, registered, or certified by the relevant Canadian higher education-related institution, and providing at least four-year undergraduate degrees (bachelor degrees) or postgraduate degrees (master or doctoral degrees) in a conventional, face-to-face, non-distance education style.

2021 Sub-rankings by provinces and territories
There are ten provinces and three regions that make up Canada. The overwhelming majority of higher education institutions that follow the Topuniversitieslist selection criterion are based in Ontario (Toronto), Quebec (Montreal), British Columbia (Vancouver), and Alberta (Calgary) (Calgary). Both institutional units of at least two Canadian higher education entities matching the Topuniversitieslist selection criterion are included in the following Topuniversitieslist sub-rankings or league tables.
