2022 Ranking of Finland Universities

What are Finland’s most famous universities? Topuniversitieslist attempts to address this issue by releasing the 2022 Finnish University Ranking, which includes 35 Finnish higher education institutions that fulfill the Topuniversitieslist selection criteria:

  • being chartered, registered, or certified by the relevant Finnish higher education-related institution, and providing at least four-year undergraduate degrees (bachelor degrees) or postgraduate degrees (master or doctoral degrees) in a conventional, face-to-face, non-distance education style.

2022 Sub-rankings by provinces and territories

Finland is divided into 19 regions (maakunnat in Finnish). Then it is divided into opposing municipalities (fin. kunnat). The Uusimaa Region, which includes both the capital and largest city Helsinki, has many higher education institutions that meet the Topuniversitieslist selection criteria. Both regions with at least two Finnish higher education institutions matching the Topuniversitieslist placement criterion are included in the following Topuniversitieslist league tables or sub-rankings.
