2021 Ranking of Mongolia Universities
What are Mongolia’s most famous universities? Topuniversitieslist attempts to address this issue by releasing the Mongolian University Ranking for 2021, which includes 64 Mongolian higher-education institutions that fulfill the Topuniversitieslist selection criteria:
- offering at least four-year undergraduate degrees (bachelor degrees) or postgraduate degrees (master or doctoral degrees) delivered primarily in a conventional, face-to-face, non-distance education format and being chartered, certified, or approved by the relevant Mongolian higher education-related organization

2021 Sub-rankings by provinces and territories
Mongolia is split into 21 provinces (Mongolian: aimags), which are subdivided further into districts (Mongolian: sum), and one regional municipality. The most populous provincial municipality of Ulaanbaatar, which hosts Mongolia’s capital and largest population, has the greatest number of higher education institutions that follow the Topuniversitieslist selection criterion. Both provinces with at least two Mongolian higher education institutions that fulfill the Topuniversitieslist selection criterion are included in the following Topuniversitieslist league tables or sub-rankings.
