2021 Ranking of Nepal Universities
What are Nepal’s most well-known universities? Topuniversitieslist attempts to address this issue by releasing the 2021 Nepalese University Ranking, which includes nine Nepalese higher education institutions that fulfill the Topuniversitieslist selection criteria:
- being chartered, registered, or certified by the relevant Nepalese higher education-related body, and providing at least four-year undergraduate degrees (bachelor degrees) or postgraduate degrees (master or doctoral degrees) in a conventional, face-to-face, non-distance education style.

2021 Sub-rankings by provinces and territories
Nepal’s Federal Democratic Republic is divided into seven provinces (Nepali: Pradeshaharu), each of which is subdivided into 77 districts. The province of Bagmati Pradesh has the most higher education institutions that follow the Topuniversitieslist selection criterion. Both provinces with at least two Nepalese higher education institutions matching the Topuniversitieslist placement criterion are included in the following Topuniversitieslist sub-rankings or league tables.
