2021 Ranking of Portugal Universities

What are Portugal’s most famous universities? Topuniversitieslist has published the 2021 Portuguese University Ranking, which includes 92 Portuguese higher-education institutions that fulfill the Topuniversitieslist quality criteria:

  • being chartered, registered, or certified by the relevant Portuguese higher education-related institution, and providing at least four-year undergraduate degrees (bachelor degrees) or postgraduate degrees (master or doctoral degrees) in a conventional, face-to-face, non-distance education style.

2021 Sub-rankings by provinces and territories

The Portuguese Republic is split into 18 districts (Portuguese: distritos), counties, towns (Portuguese: municpios), and two autonomous regions. The most populous districts of Lisboa, which hosts the largest and capital city of Lisbon, and Port have the greatest number of higher education institutions that follow the Topuniversitieslist selection criterion. Both districts with at least two Portuguese higher education institutions matching the Topuniversitieslist selection criterion are included in the following Topuniversitieslist league tables or sub-rankings.
