2022 Sub-rankings by provinces and territories

Slovenia is divided into five traditional regions (Slovene: Pokrajine), each of which is further divided into 212 municipalities (Slovene: obcine). The Lower Carniola region, which includes Slovenia’s capital and largest city, Ljubljana, has the highest number of higher education institutions matching the Topuniversitieslist selection criteria.. Both historical regions with at least two Slovenian higher education institutions matching the Topuniversitieslist selection criterion are included in the following Topuniversitieslist sub-rankings or league tables.
