2022 Ranking of Spain Universities
What are Spain’s most famous universities? Topuniversitieslist attempts to address this issue by releasing the 2022 Spanish University Ranking, which includes 75 Spanish higher education institutions that fulfill the Topuniversitieslist quality criteria:
- being chartered, registered, or certified by the relevant Spanish higher education-related institution, and providing at least four-year undergraduate degrees (bachelor degrees) or postgraduate degrees (master or doctoral degrees) in a conventional, face-to-face, non-distance education style.

2022 Sub-rankings by provinces and territories
The Kingdom of Spain is split into 17 regional regions (Spanish: comunidades autónomas), 50 provinces (Spanish: provincias), and two autonomous cities. The overwhelming majority of higher education institutions that follow the Topuniversitieslist selection criterion are in the Madrid Community, which includes Madrid, Catalonia (Barcelona), Andalusia (Seville), Castile and Leon (Valladolid), and the Valencian Community (Valencia). Both provinces with at least two Spanish higher education institutions matching the Topuniversitieslist selection criterion are included in the following Topuniversitieslist sub-rankings or league tables.
