2022 Ranking of Syria Universities

What are Syria’s most famous universities? Topuniversitieslist attempts to address this issue by releasing the Syrian University Ranking for 2022, which includes 29 Syrian higher-education institutions that fulfill the Topuniversitieslist selection criteria:

  • being chartered, registered, or certified by the relevant Syrian higher education-related institution, and providing at least four-year undergraduate degrees (bachelor degrees) or postgraduate degrees (master or doctoral degrees) in a conventional, face-to-face, non-distance education style.

2022 Sub-rankings by provinces and territories

The Syrian Arab Republic is divided into 14 governorates (Arabic: muhafazah), each of which has 60 districts (Arabic: manatiq). The Damascus governorate, which includes Damascus’ biggest and capital city, has the greatest number of higher education institutions that follow the Topuniversitieslist selection criterion. Both governorates with at least two Syrian higher education institutions matching the Topuniversitieslist selection criterion are included in the following Topuniversitieslist sub-rankings or league tables.
