2022 Ranking of Yemen Universities

What are Yemen’s most famous universities? Topuniversitieslist attempts to address this issue by releasing the Yemeni University Ranking for 2022, which includes 45 Yemeni higher-education institutions that fulfill the Topuniversitieslist selection criteria:

  • offering at least four-year undergraduate degrees (bachelor degrees) or postgraduate degrees (master or doctoral degrees) delivered primarily in a traditional, face-to-face, non-distance education format and being chartered, licensed, or accredited by the appropriate Yemeni higher education-related organization

2022 Sub-rankings by provinces and territories

Yemen is split into 21 governorates and one municipality (Arabic: muhafazah) (Arabic: amanah). The governorate of Sana’a, which includes the capital and largest city of Sanaa, is home to the overwhelming majority of higher education institutions that follow the Topuniversitieslist selection criterion. All governorates with at least two Yemeni higher education institutions matching the Topuniversitieslist placement criterion are included in the following Topuniversitieslist league tables or sub-rankings.
