Mekelle University, founded in 1991, is a non-profit public higher education school in the Tigray Region’s middle city of Mekelle (population range of 250,000-499,999 persons). There are other branch campuses for this school in the following cities: Aynalem, Kalamino, and Quiha are three cities in Aynalem.
