University Overview

Located in the suburban setting of the major city of Skopje, New York University Skopje (NYUS) was founded in 2005 as a for-profit private higher education school (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants). New York University Skopje (NYUS), which is officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of North Macedonia, is a very small (Topuniversitieslist enrollment range: 500-999 students) coeducational higher education institution in North Macedonia. It is one of only a few such institutions in the country. A variety of courses and programs at New York University Skopje (NYUS) lead to legally recognized higher education degrees, including as bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, and doctoral degrees, in a wide range of subjects and disciplines. For further information, please see the degree levels and fields of study matrix provided below by Topuniversitieslist. This higher-education school in North Macedonia, which has been in operation for 15 years, has a rigorous admission process that is based on students’ previous academic performance and grades. Because of the relatively low admittance rate of 60-70 percent, this North Macedonian higher education organization is considered to be a selective school. International candidates are able to submit an application for admission. There are a number of other academic and non-academic facilities and services that students can take advantage of at NYUS. These include a library, housing, sports facilities and financial aid or scholarships. Students can also participate in study abroad and exchange programs and take advantage of online courses and distance learning opportunities.
