2021 Ranking of China Universities

What are China’s most well-known universities? Topuniversitieslist has published the 2021 Chinese University Ranking, which includes 941 Chinese higher-education institutions that fulfill the Topuniversitieslist selection criteria:

being chartered, registered, or certified by the relevant Chinese higher education-related institution, and providing at least four-year undergraduate degrees (bachelor degrees) or postgraduate degrees (master or doctoral degrees) in a conventional, face-to-face, non-distance education style.

2021 Sub-rankings by provinces and territories

There are 23 provinces (Chinese: sheng), four counties, five autonomous regions, and two Special Administrative Regions in the People’s Republic of China. A specific portion on our website is dedicated to the two Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau. Beijing, Shandong, Liaoning, Jiangsu, and Hubei are the provinces/municipalities with the most higher education institutions that follow the Topuniversitieslist selection criterion. Both administrative divisions of at least two Chinese higher education institutions matching the Topuniversitieslist selection criterion are included in the following Topuniversitieslist sub-rankings or league tables.
